Accountbanned,disabledorrestricted?
Here’s what to do on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X, using each platform’s official appeal process. It’s free, and it’s the only way that actually works.
Scam warning: services that promise to “unfreeze”, “unban” or “recover” accounts for money can’t actually do it. Never share your password, OTP or verification codes with anyone.
The 6 steps that work everywhere
- STEP 1
Don’t pay anyone
No website, agent or “hacker” can restore an account. Only the platform’s own review team can. Anyone asking for money, your password or a login code is scamming you.
- STEP 2
Read the notice carefully
The notice or email usually says what happened (ban, restriction, removal) and which rule was involved. Screenshot it.
- STEP 3
Use the official appeal
Look for “Appeal”, “Request review” or “Disagree with decision” on the notice itself. That is always the fastest route.
- STEP 4
Write a clear, polite appeal
Explain briefly and honestly why you believe your content follows the rules. Use the free writer below.
- STEP 5
Secure your account
If you think you were hacked: change your password, turn on 2-step verification and remove unknown devices.
- STEP 6
Wait — don’t spam
Reviews can take hours to several days. Sending many duplicate appeals does not speed things up.
Platform-specific steps
TikTok
- Open the app. On a ban or restriction notice, tap “Appeal” / “Submit an appeal”.
- For removed videos: Inbox → System notifications → open the notice → Submit an appeal.
- No button? Profile → Menu (☰) → Settings and privacy → Report a problem.
- Disabled account: open the app and log in — follow the “Disagree with decision” / “Request a review” steps shown. You may be asked to verify your identity.
- Removed post or restriction: Settings → Account Status to see what happened and request a review.
- Hacked account: use “Need more help?” on the login screen or instagram.com/hacked.
- Log in — if your account is disabled, follow the on-screen option to request a review.
- For posts, Pages or ad account restrictions: Settings & privacy → Account Status, or Meta Business Suite → Account Quality for ads.
- Hacked: visit facebook.com/hacked.
YouTube
- Community Guidelines strike: YouTube Studio → Content → find the video with a restriction → select it and choose “Appeal”.
- Terminated channel: use the appeal link in the email you received, or sign in to YouTube Studio to see the appeal option.
- Monetization issues: YouTube Studio → Earn to check your status and review options.
X (Twitter)
- Locked account: log in and follow the on-screen steps (often phone or email verification).
- Suspended account: log in and use the appeal option shown, or the appeals form in the X Help Center.
Menus change often. If a button has moved, check the notice or email you received, or the platform’s Help Center.
