What the TikTok Title & Description (SEO) does
The Title and Description generator writes searchable text for your TikTok video, Pin or post. You enter the topic, optional main keywords and a language. It returns five title ideas kept within the platform's title limits with the keyword near the start, one SEO-friendly description of two short paragraphs with the main keyword in the first sentence, and a comma-separated list of tags or keywords.
This matters most on platforms where people search, such as YouTube and Pinterest, but clear titles and descriptions also help other apps understand what your content is about and who to show it to. The tool avoids clickbait that the video does not deliver, because misleading titles tend to bring viewers who leave quickly.
How to use it
- 1Choose the platform you are publishing on.
- 2Describe the topic in a sentence, as specifically as you can.
- 3Add one or two main keywords if you know what people search for. Leave it blank if you are not sure.
- 4Pick a language and generate.
- 5Choose the title that is both accurate and interesting, then paste the description and tags, editing in any links or timestamps.
Example
Input
Topic: budget travel guide to Hunza in 5 days. Keywords: hunza trip, budget travel pakistan. Language: English.
Sample output
- Title idea: Hunza Trip on a Budget: 5-Day Plan with Real Costs
- Title idea: Budget Travel Pakistan: How I Did Hunza in 5 Days
- Description: Planning a Hunza trip on a budget? This 5-day guide covers where to stay, how to get there and what each day costs...
- Tags/keywords: hunza trip, budget travel pakistan, hunza itinerary, northern pakistan travel, karimabad
The keyword appears at the start of the title and in the first sentence of the description, while the title still promises something specific that the video actually covers.
Tips for better results
- Search your topic inside the app and look at the autocomplete suggestions. They show phrases real people type, which make good keywords.
- Make the title promise one clear thing. "5-Day Plan with Real Costs" is more clickable than "My Hunza Vlog".
- Keep the most important words in the first part of the title, since long titles get cut off on phones.
- Use the description to add context the title cannot: what is covered, who it is for and useful links.
- YouTube titles can be up to 100 characters and descriptions up to 5,000, but the first two lines of the description matter most.
- If your audience searches in Roman Urdu, test a title in Roman Urdu as well as English.
Mistakes to avoid
- Stuffing the same keyword into the title several times. It reads badly and does not help.
- Writing a title the video does not deliver on. Viewers leave early and that can hurt how widely it is shown.
- Pasting long lists of unrelated tags in the hope of extra reach.
- Leaving the description empty on platforms where people actually search.
Using it on TikTok
TikTok search reads your caption and on-screen text, so use the best title as the opening line of the caption and say the keyword out loud in the video. Keep the full description for your notes; TikTok captions work better short.
